PROJECT bodycity
PROJECT bodycity continues in 2008 with the realisation of new work by eight invited artists, for Dublin Docklands, Dublin City, Ireland. The artists – each who have developed significant individual practices in different media and who come from a range of perspectives - have been engaged in a process, which began in 2007 and which sets the contextual framing for bodycity. This included bodytalkcity a daylong session of presentations and panel discussions, and VIDEO APARTMENT – where the screening of works by 33 artists over a month was located in a Dockland’s apartment off Hanover Quay.
PROJECT bodycity will present new work by eight artists in September 2008 as an experimental visual arts event located within the inner city area of Dublin Docklands. It will utilise existing and new buildings and infiltrate as appropriate outdoor sites and spaces to become an ‘exhibition without walls’.
